“We are told never to cross a bridge until we come to it, but this world is owned by those who have ‘crossed bridges’ in their imagination far ahead of the crowd.”
Last Friday, May 24, marked the 130th anniversary of the Brooklyn Bridge. This photograph is nothing new; there have likely been thousands of photographs of this landmark. Summer 2010 was the first time I walked across it, though I had been to NYC about a dozen times before. I’m all about the journey and not just the end-game. (Well, I say I am. Reality dictates regular requests to fast-forward through some situations. But ultimately, I know the journey holds more lessons than the conclusion of said journey).
This quote is a wonderful way to think about imagination, dreaming and doing. A learned skill, for sure.
