As a counselor, I advocate for healthy expression of feelings. In fact, this week with my students, we reviewed 7 categories of healthy, effective stress management.
But sometimes, crankiness takes over and wallowing is acceptable because life is an obstacle course and you just want to cry. Cry and eat $45 worth of chocolate. So, minus the tears because I’m in public, that’s what I’ll do as I say goodbye to hubster for another long stretch:
If you need to wallow today, it’s ok. I give you permission.
Every day can’t be sunshine and roses. I don’t even like roses. Every day can’t be sunshine and sushi. But that’s ok. That’s what tomorrow is for.
