30 in 30: Day 2 — Disney fairytale (& blue cupcakes!)

Day 2 — watching Frozen, because Disney fairytales are cool at any age πŸ˜‰

The last 12 months have been some of the most challenging I’ve ever experienced. In the beginning of 2014 I watched Frozen, the film that took America’s big and little people by storm this past year. It had a big impact on me, and particularly the cornerstone song.

It’s funny how some distance
Makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me
Can’t get to me at all!

It’s time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me I’m free!

Let it go, let it go

I belt this song at least once per week, sometimes in my car, sometimes in my apartment (with my windows open — no shame). I give the neighbors a free karaoke show. At 7 a.m. I’m sure they appreciate it. I have a Let it Go station on Pandora and Spotify, and at any point in time you might catch me humming these catchy tunes. I can’t help it. These lyrics have been part of my healing/growth process. And again, no shame.

I even added blue cupcakes to match all the blue in the movie.

Thank you, friends, for celebrating with me!
